Tosha Jones

You can catch Tosha Jones and her powerful chops taking over the stages all across southern California.  Tosha’s most recent triumph was winning No Doubt’s Push and Shove Drum Contest by SoCal’s very own notorious drummer, Adrian Young.  The victory included a custom OCDP snare, signed by Adrian himself, along with a nice surprise pack of drum gear. Prior to the No Doubt contest success, Tosha made first-round finalist in 2012 at the Drum-Off held at the Hollywood Guitar Center.


As a kid growing up in the Midwest “corn state” of Indiana, she battled it out for first-chair in the high school marching and pep band. Tosha found herself playing in a number of local bands, even a metal band. She eventually played with the prominent, classic-rock band, Emerson Rose (Indianapolis, IN) while leading them as two-time, Battle Of The Bands Champions. She took a leap of faith and followed her dream to be a professional drummer by boarding her first plane ride ever to join the punk-pop band, The Randies. She was selected to replace their lost drummer for the Vans Warped Tour in 2008.  She’s now become a transplant, and a breath of fresh air in the Los Angeles, Long Beach, Orange County, and San Diego music scene. 


Many of her heroes are the greats like John Bonham, Dave Grohl, Clem Burke, Keith Moon, and of course Adrian Young.  Take notice and you’ll see her many musical influences shining through in her one-of-a-kind style. Whether it’s in her head banging, snare cracking or cymbal crashes, her live performances are mind-blowing and a force to be reckoned with. It’s one thing to see a really talented, passionate, aspiring, professional drummer play and understand they are good. But when you get a chance to meet her off the throne and talk to her one on one, that’s when you’ll catch that fire in her eyes and the dream in her heart, and truly understand why she’s part of the new blood.
