From playing small, smokey bars in southern Indiana to touring world wide with national music acts, Los Angeles based drummer, Tosha Jones quickly made a name for herself throughout the world’s music scene.
At the ripe age of three, Tosha began expressing herself through music, song, and dance. Which led her to joining her elementary school band and eventually begging her parents for a real drum kit instead of playing on various pots and pans and her mother’s Tupperware.
Stemming from numerous garage bands and many “Battle of the Band” competitions throughout the midwest, Jones finally jumped ship from working multiple factory jobs in Indiana and saved enough money to move to Los Angeles, California as she immediately landed the Vans Warped Tour in 2008 with then, all-female punk rockers, The Randies.
After many rejected auditions and trudging the streets of the Sunset Strip along Hollywood, Jones found herself in various bands touring the world. Opening for national rock acts such as Stone Sour, Halestorm, Seether, & Skid Row, while eventually landing a long touring stint playing drums for Grammy nominated rock band, Saliva in February of 2018.
Fast forward to Covid-19’s protocols and cancellations in 2019/2020, and unfortunately like many other musicians finding themselves away from touring, Jones was part of numerous collaboration videos online which includes Sheltering Sky’s Chuck Wright (Quiet Riot) in their 2021 Björk’s cover “Army of Me”, and most recently “Throwin’ Stones”. Jones was also featured in artist/singer, Chloe Trujillo’s videos, “Mana” and “The Heaviest Sound is Silence”, along with many other online collabs.
In December 2021, the Covid fight had since slowed and Jones was asked to play drums on a few tour dates for alt rockers Carolina Liar, best known for their hit songs “Show Me What I’m Looking For” and “I’m Not Over”.
Jones then quickly transitioned in Spring of ‘22, and was invited to be a camp counselor for the famous “Rock n Roll Fantasy Camp” where iconic musicians such as Melissa Etheridge, Nancy Wilson (Heart), and Kathy Valentine from The Go-Go’s were the week’s VIP special guests…All the while, Tosha was preparing for her second stint in a “Saliva” camp, playing drums on an upcoming summer tour for both Josey Scott, and Brett Scallions, original frontman of the band Fuel with hits such as “Shimmer” and “Hemorrhage”. Although that tour was cancelled shortly after due to low ticket sales of the result of COVID’s devastating impact unfortunately.
Two of Tosha’s most cherished events she’s been part of from past years is being contacted by American Idol (2015) to play in an all-female drum line for contestant Tyanna Jones, performing the song “Run The World” by Beyoncé. And also was invited in 2023 by friend and iconic lead guitarist Kat Dyson (Prince, Cyndi Lauper) to play in the house band at the Grammy pre-party in February hosted by Teyana Taylor & Coi Leray, respectively.
In July of 2024, Jones was added to the roster of Indiana’s favorite drumline, High Octane as they currently rep basketball’s best in the Indiana Pacers and Fever, and also perform at events such as the Indy 500, ribbon cutting proceedings, and many others!
Tosha also prides herself on playing in her favorite Indianapolis cover band: Chasing Katie! They are a tightly knit unit of well-seasoned musicians where everyone is welcome and promise to be entertained with fun and excellent musicianship!
Fast forward to August of 2026, Jones auditioned for the Indianapolis Colts Drumline, The Herd, where you can find her this NFL season banging her drum on the field and Touchdown Town!
